DogTown Redemption Screening

A FREE West Oakland Screening of Dogtown Redemption
Saturday, June 18, 2016
3:00 PM
West Oakland Youth Center
3233 Market Street
Oakland, CA 94608

This film was made in West Oakland, for West Oakland. Join us for our first screening of Dogtown Redemption in the community it documents. Experience the intimate story of three recyclers—a journey through a landscape of love and loss, devotion and addiction, prejudice and poverty.

We will have a post-film discussion featuring:
Producer/co-director Amir Soltani
Former recycler Landon Goodwin
Oakland City Council President Lynette McElhaney
Residential leader Gregory Ward and Community Organizer Adlemy Garcia from the East Bay Housing Organizations
The panel will be moderated by Shirley Cheney, program director for homeless senior services of St. Mary's Center.

Special thanks to SPARC, St. Mary's Center, and West Oakland Youth Center for supporting this screening!
